HOLA!
This
week was incredible :)
Started
out with a trip to Mendoza for a training for Trainers and Hijas :) I love
trainings with President Goates he is such a wise man. They counseled
us on the importance of asking inspired questions. He showed examples
of Christ, he truly was the perfect teacher. Also it was so fun to see the
other Hermanas from my group and see how much we are all improving and
changing! Time is flying!
This
week we had another lesson with Eliana and wow, she is such a champ. She is so
prepared. We got there and she showed us her pamphlet and she had answered all
the questions in the back of the booklet. Wow. Never in my mission has that
happened. We just asked her to read it. She`s quite the overachiever :) We got
explaining about the Book of Mormon and how truly powerful it is and how it
will completely change her life. And she said "I want to read it right this
second." She was so excited. AH. I love when people get excited about the
same things as me. I truly LOVE the Book of Mormon. I learn more and more
everyday that it truly is the base of my testimony and everything I know to be
true.
The
BEST part about this week... is that.... VALERIA WAS BAPTIZED.
There were many obstacles in the way, things kept going wrong, but the Lord
made it happen, and Valeria was determined that she would be baptized this
Saturday, and she was! It was such a beautiful baptism! She looked so happy and
pure in white. There is no better feeling than watching someone you love enter
the waters of baptism and make sacred covenants that will change her eternity!
I have loved watching her grow and truly put forth her part in making this
change in her life! I was so full of excitement for her. Knowing that she was
literally unlocking the gate to eternal life. But the best part, is that it's
just the beginning. We have the opportunity and blessing to
continue faithfully in these covenants until the end :) That`s where the
happiness and PROMISE truly comes, living these sacred covenants until the end
of our lives. Being obedient to the end!
7 And now, because of the
covenant which ye have made ye shall be called the children of
Christ, his sons, and his daughters; for behold, this day he hath spiritually
begotten you; for ye say that your hearts are changed through faith
on his name; therefore, ye are born of him and have become
his sons and his daughters.
8 And under this head
ye are made free, and there is no other head whereby ye can be made
free. There is no other name given whereby salvation cometh; therefore, I
would that ye should take upon you the name of Christ, all you that
have entered into the covenant with God that ye should be obedient unto the end of your lives.
9 And it shall come to pass that
whosoever doeth this shall be found at the right hand of God, for he shall know
the name by which he is called; for he shall be called by the name of Christ.
I love the principle of obedience and hope that I too can obedient, not just as a missionary, but my WHOLE life, obedient to the END, so that one day, I too may be called by the name of Christ.
